As the Founder and Managing Partner of AccuVisors, I take great pride in our exceptional team, dedicated to providing concierge-level service to our clients. Our recent growth, both organically and through the acquisition of retiring CPA firms, has allowed us to enhance our expertise, hire exceptional professionals, and better serve our clients’ diverse needs.
My journey began when I attended SDSU and completed a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting. Upon graduation, I worked in the audit department of the San Diego Office of Ernst and Young, giving me an exceptional foundation to continue my career.
In 1987 I established my own accounting and consulting firm, focusing on the revolutionary role of technology in accounting—well before it became a standard practice in the industry. This vision led to the evolution of Barsa & Associates, which provided not only accounting and tax services, but also served as a software implementer for small businesses looking to automate their accounting. In 2022, after completing our first acquisition in 2021, we changed the name of the firm to AccuVisors, which offers comprehensive outsourced accounting services, tax preparation and planning, as well as our highly specialized Tax Resolution services. With a commitment to being a one-stop shop for accounting, tax, and tax resolution services, we proudly support both businesses and individuals nationwide.
I am actively involved in a number of professional networking organizations, including Provisors, and Six Degrees Networking. I am also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the California Society of CPAs. I also serve on the board of the Scripps Gift Planning Advisory Council. Networking, mentoring and volunteering within my professional community bring me great joy and fulfillment. I love meeting new people and seeing if I can help them maximize their business value and minimize their tax liabilities.
Outside of work, I cherish my time with my husband and two wonderful adult boys. We make it a priority to enjoy family dinners together. These moments are invaluable as we continue to nurture their growth and development.
“If you don’t ask, you don’t get, and if you ask and the answer is no, you’re no worse off than you were to begin with…so always ask! You’ll be surprised at how often you get what you want.”
